FHA Match Virtual Event Platfom FAQs

  • What will happen after I join FHA Match as an exhibitor?

    You will be receiving 2 activation emails from us.

    The first would be the Supplier Membership activation email from Saladplate, the B2B food and hospitality online marketplace, 1-2 weeks after your contract is signed. 

    The second would be the Supplier Account activation email from FHA Match 3-4 weeks before the upcoming edition, with information on how to access the virtual event platform.

  • How do I set up my profile on FHA Match?

    Once you have activated your membership on Saladplate, we will import your information directly to the FHA Match event platform. You may check and edit your details on FHA Match by clicking on the smiley face icon at the top right corner. There are options available to update your profile, company, and products.

  • How do I find the relevant buyers?

    There are two ways to look for your prospects via the ‘Meet’ page. 

    First, you can view the list of buyers suggested by the FHA Match platform based on your interests and activity under the ‘For you’ tab to engage in virtual networking. 

    Alternatively, from the ‘Search’ tab you can narrow down the listing by selecting filters, searching for targeted keywords or through group types such as exhibitor, buyer or VIP buyer to streamline business matching.

  • Can I meet with other suppliers?

    Yes, exhibitors can meet with both buyers and other suppliers.

  • How do I set my meeting availability?

    Click on ‘My Schedule’ and then ‘Time availability’.

    You will land to a page where you can cancel out the timings that you are NOT available for meetings. After editing, click ‘CONFIRM’ and your potential buyers will be able to pick a mutually available time based on your selections.

    NOTE: The FHA Match event hours from 9am – 10pm (UTC +8) provides flexibility in setting up meeting schedules. Please be mindful of the time zones of potential business partners and accommodate those in far reaching time zones where possible.

  • What meeting options are there?

    There are 2 meeting options:
    1) Meet virtually with online video call (Structured)
    2) No meeting. Connect only via Messages chat (Unstructured)

    Structured meetings require both the Exhibitor and Visitor to set up and agree on a meeting timeslot, and can only take place during the event.

    Unstructured meetings have no pre-set meeting time. Both parties can communicate in the chat room via text/call during the event as well as post event, when the FHA Match platform is still accessible for a week.

  • How do I send meeting requests?

    To send a meeting request, 

    • Click ‘Meet’ on the contact card
    • Select your meeting option.
    • Enter an optional message to the other party.
    • Click ‘Send Meeting Request’ to confirm your arrangement.NOTE: All meeting requests require confirmation from the other party, and they will be reminded on a timely basis (depending on their email frequency) about your requests to them. This means that you should send out your requests early so your engagement manager will have a longer period of time to follow up on your requests with them.

  • Can I invite other participants to my meeting?

    Yes, multi-call function is available. Each party may invite up to 2 pax so a call can accomodate 6 pax in total.

    From the 1-1 virtual meeting room’s landing page, click on the ‘Copy and share link to invite others’ button.

  • How do I manage incoming meeting requests?

    Meeting requests are personally sent by participating attendees who are keen to meet you on the FHA Match platform.

    To manage your incoming meeting requests, 

    • Navigate to the ‘Meet’ page and click ‘Requests Received’.
    • Select either ‘Accept request’ or ‘Decline’. 
    • When accepting a request, you can then select the suitable meeting date and time for your meetings.

  • How do I manage my meeting schedule and notifications?

    Click on ‘My Schedule’ to view your options.

    • Time Zone
      It is important to select your own time zone. This will allow the platform to accurately show the available timings for business meetings with potential buyers.
    • Notifications
      You can set notifications on your preferred channel when you receive a meeting request or when a request you’ve sent has been accepted, and get an alert 15 minutes before each meeting. Notification channels range from from Facebook Messenger, WeChat, WhatsApp and SMS.
    • Sync Calendar
      The FHA Match platform offers the function to sync its meetings calendar with your individual calendar. This will allow you to manage your schedule and upcoming FHA Match meeting requests more efficiently. Once synced, any changes to your meetings will be automatically updated. You may select your preferred calendar such as Google or Outlook or even directly download the calendar file for importing to your own calendar.

  • How do I start my meeting?

    Before the meeting starts, please be sure to check and set up your device to be compatible for video meetings. You may refer to this compatibility checker here.

    To start your meeting, 

    • Navigate to the ‘My Schedule’ page to see all your scheduled meetings.
    • Click on the camera icon.
    • Click ‘Join Now’.
    • Remember to grant permission access to your microphone and camera.

  • How do I chat with other attendees on the platform?

    The chat room at the top right corner of the platform (next to the smiley face) is only available to mutually agreed connections who have set up either a structured or unstructured meeting.

    Before the event, you will only be able to text your connections in the chat room.

    During and after the event, you will be able to text and also engage in an “instant call” with potential buyers.

  • What are the 'Bookmark' and 'Archive' functions for?

    The ‘Bookmark’ icon in the contact card sets aside your favourite contacts. You can easily come back to the ‘Bookmarked’ button at the top to retrieve these contacts later on and send or manage meeting requests.

    The ‘Archive’ icon in the contact card hides irrelevant contacts or contacts you do not wish to appear again in the ‘Meet’ page. They can be retrived from the ‘Archived’ button at the top and if you wish to ‘unarchive’ any contact, simply click on their ‘Archived’ icon.

  • Can I still access the virtual platform after the event?

    Yes, the platform will still be available for 1 week after the end of each edition, and you can continue to chat (via text/call) with potential buyers.

    Thereafter you can continue on to Saladplate.com, to showcase new products as well as connect with new buyers.

  • I am interested in attending FHA Match. How do I register?

    Pre-registration for the first edition of FHA Match: Meat is now open until the end of the event on 14 April 2021. Please click here to register.

    Registration for the subsequent editions will be open closer to the respective event dates. Stay tuned for updates!

  • Do I have to register multiple times if I am interested in more than one edition?

    Yes, each FHA Match edition is regarded as a separate event and requires a unique registration in order to capture your product interest for that edition. However, once you have signed up for (any) one event, the platform will be able to recognise your personal particulars and help to pre-fill those fields. All you have to do is update your interests.

  • What are the event opening hours?

    FHA Match: Meat will take place from 13 – 14 April 2021. The event will run from 9am – 10pm (UTC+8) on both days to allow ample time to connect with potential business partners from across multiple times zones around the world. After that, you can still access for a week after 14 April, and continue to network with suppliers over chat (via text/call)!

  • How do I login to the FHA Match virtual platform?

    Upon successful registration, you will receive an email with the login instructions 3-4 weeks before the upcoming event.

  • How do I set up my profile on FHA Match?

    We will import your information and product interests directly from the registration form to the FHA Match event platform. You may check and edit your profile on FHA Match by clicking on the smiley face icon at the top right corner, or update your interests under the ‘For you’ tab in the ‘Meet’ page so suppliers can easily find and connect with you.

  • How do I find the relevant suppliers?

    Yes, Content Sessions will be held across the 2 days and is available to all registered attendees of the event. To view the content programme on the platform, navigate to the ’Agenda’ page.

    Simply click on the session to view the webinar.

  • Can I still access the virtual platform after the event?

    Your passcode comes with the FHA Match account activation email. If you are unable to find your email, follow the steps below:

    • Click ‘Lost Passcode?’ when landing to the FHA Match event platform
    • Enter your email address 

    You will get an email with your login details if your email has been registered with FHA Match.
